The Pool safety laws have been in affect now for just over twelve months. Here are a list of the top five areas where barriers are failing.

 

•No current CPR Sign, yes it can be that easy to fail an inspection.

•Gates not self closing, its very important to test your gate closes when the latch itself is resting on the strike plate (catch).

•Gaps underneath any part of the barrier greater than 100mm.

•Objects positioned against or near the barrier that could be deemed climbable, this includes trees or shrubs.

•Climbable timber rails seperated by less than 900mm.
